My Life
Born and raised in Weimar in 1984, I completed my civil service at the Marie Seebach Foundation retirement and nursing home in Weimar after graduating from high school, which I consider to be an important life experience. After studying to become a teacher – history and social studies for secondary school – and during my teaching internship, I moved to Erfurt with my wife. We are the happy parents of a daughter. I am Protestant and feel deeply rooted in my home state of Thuringia.
commitment
My political involvement began as a student representative in Weimar. Even then, I learned that you can achieve a lot if you seek allies and persevere. Through the Junge Union, I joined the CDU, for which I have been a member of the Erfurt City Council since 2014. Since 2019, I have been chairman of the CDU city council faction. Here, too, it is clear that with good proposals, constructive dialogue and the necessary compromises, a lot can be achieved. With the aim of strengthening the community, I am involved in the parish council of the Protestant Church, the district synod of the Erfurt church district and the Elferrat (council of eleven) of the Alach Carnival Club.
