Weimar constituency

My roots lie here in my hometown. My parents and most of my family live here. My mother is the longest-serving city guide. Weimar, once the domain of Goethe and Schiller, the centre of Weimar Classicism, the birthplace of the Bauhaus and the namesake of the Weimar Republic, has a rich historical heritage. At the same time, its proximity to the former Buchenwald concentration camp serves as a reminder of the dark chapters of German history.

Weimar is a lively cultural and university city. The Bauhaus University and the University of Music make the city a centre of creative and intellectual exchange and contribute to its international reputation.
