In this legislative period, I am representing my home region, the cities of Erfurt, Weimar and the Grammetal, for the first time as a member of the CDU/CSU parliamentary group in the German Bundestag. This fills me with pride and a deep sense of responsibility.
As a father, teacher and former headmaster, I know what it means to bear responsibility – with a clear compass, practical experience and an eye for what is feasible.
Our region stands for cultural richness, scientific strength and a unique landscape. At the same time, we face major challenges, such as rising living costs, issues of energy and supply security, and the necessary expansion of a modern, sustainable infrastructure.
I stand for politics that unite rather than divide, that embrace differences and strengthen commonalities. I am working with all my energy to ensure that our home remains liveable, socially just, economically strong and culturally vibrant.
